Want to watch the recorded final #FLSC2021SA? Check it out on Facebook.

INTRODUCTION

The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) is excited to have this year’s Financial Literacy Speech Competition (FLSC) take place, after the COVID-19 interruption in 2020.

This year’s competition, which is already in progress, will end with a finale in the first week of February 2022.

The FLSC 2021 has gone DIGITAL!

What does this mean? The bulk of this year’s competition is being conducted electronically, read more about how this 2021 edition is being rolled out. We incorporated virtual elements in the competition so as to ensure that the health of participating Grade 11 Learners and their Teachers, is not compromised. As you know, COVID-19 is still with us. But the show must go on.

Did you know the FLSC has been around for over 2 decades now? For more info, visit the About Us page.

Note that the FLSC is strictly for Grade 11 learners in secondary and high schools from quintiles 1,2 and 3 that provide commerce subjects in their curricula. Learn about the definition of these quintiles on our FAQ page. .

Prizes for FLSC 2021!

The top 3 Grade 11 Learners will be awarded prizes that can change their lives, including fully funded bursaries worth approximately R500 000.00 to study at any public university of their choice, anywhere in South Africa.

What’s more, the teachers and schools of the top 3 Learners will also receive great prizes. We believe that these will serve as incentives to encourage the qualifying schools to enter, and that the schools will afford their Grade 11 Learners every opportunity to not only participate, but to work hard in the competition in order to come out on top!
